Has and educational mode and a song mode. Only complaint is I wish the handle would stay up (like in the pic). It falls to the floor if you are not holding it. 18 of 18 people found the following review helpful: By = Durability: This review is from: Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learning Mower (Toy) I have two year old twins. I am used to loud. Dear lord in heaven, I am used to loud. Generally if a toy makes noise, I don't mind so much. After all, it's the silence that is scarier with little ones.On the other hand, there is this... We got this for them when they were one. A year ago. For a year now, we have endured the insanity and inanity that is this toy. Sure, there's the handle problem. The handle doesn't stay upright, so the child has to be a good walker to use it. Our children were good walkers by a year, so that wasn't that big a deal. Then there's the songs. An excerpt? "Pushing along with the mower, hoping the grass will get lower..." What a strange expectation. Hoping? Really? Whatever, though. The other "educational" bits aren't really all that educational, either. Really, the immense issue with the toy is the racket. Even the corn popper push toys aren't as loud. It's just so loud. Just, so very, very loud. The only reasonable place to have... Now, I understand that lawn mowers are noisy, but this thing is REALLY loud when being pushed by a toddler. Maybe it's just the sound of it on our tile floor INSIDE the house, although it's now been banned inside and is only used outside. The handle does not stay up and is VERY short. I would not have chosen this specific mower, but it was a gift and will be around until it "disappears" someday :) |
18 months & up. Children will be fascinated by the sounds the clacking wooden balls create as they walk at different speeds.

It makes a wonderfully pleasant sound (though it is a bit loud, but it's supposed to be). LOVE it so much more than the popper I grew up with. He "vacuums" with it, then it becomes a car, and even a guitar! It gets played with every single day. LOVE Plan Toys for being non-toxic and a Green, eco-friendly company. There are two pop. european wood toy companies with similar products, and I will say that this one is much more substantial and of the three. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: = Durability: Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: PlanToys Plan Preschool Walk N Roll, Push and Pull (Toy) My 20 month old son loves vacuums and lawn mowers. I got him the Plan Toy Walk N Roll hoping that he would enjoy it (and leave my vacuum in the closet). He absolutely loves this toy. I love it too, because the wood is smooth, the colors are bright without being garish, and the noise it makes is loud enough he likes it but without being annoying to me. My mom even enjoyed hearing it in the background while I was on the phone with her. My favorite part is that it's not electronic!!!***UPDATE: 12/2010: My son loved his first Plan Walk N Roll to death. Literally - he banged it on our concrete sidewalk multiple times trying to "dump out grass" while acting out the way I tip our reel mower on its side to sweep grass out of it. He did it so much that he actually cracked the wood multiple times. We were able to repair it twice with super glue but the third time it was unrepairable. He still loved the toy so much that I got him a second one, with the explanation that he... This review is from: PlanToys Plan Preschool Walk N Roll, Push and Pull (Toy) We own one and my 3 yr old still plays with it. My 11 mth old does as well although he doesn't go as fast as his older brother. Bought it as a gift for a one yr old and again the 3 yr brother stole it from her! |
